On Saturday, we ventured to the Grotte du Maquis and the Roc de l'Aigle. Climbing the path that leads to the top of the Roc de l'Aigle, we were rewarded with a magnificent viewpoint, located at an altitude of 685 meters, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. But also by exploring the caves of the Maquis, we were immersed in a limestone massif steeped in history, on the maquis and the Resistance. This 2 hour and 49 minute hike allowed us to cover 9.31 kilometers with an elevation gain of 399 meters.
For the last evening at the host table, we had a spinach soup garnished with Roquefort as a starter. Then, for the main course, we savored a delicious cod accompanied by farfalle, and a succulent apple pie for dessert. A delicious way to end our gastronomic experience at the La Cour Carrée host table !
